Doubles Championship 2026
The BWDA Doubles Championship were held at the Quinn’s Rocks Sports Club on Tuesday July 21st with an excellent turnout of 74 players representing all participating BWDA Clubs.
The players were paired using their 3DA (DartConnect average) with the Top 37 paired with the Bottom 37 via a random lottery system. The Team pairings starting average was calculated using the agreed multiplied formula to level the playing field making the matches more evenly contested and providing a better playing experience..
With the draw complete and the BWDA President setting the rules & playing conditions for the event, matches got underway at approx. 7:35pm providing a darting hub of matches and competition across 8 fixed boards.
With excellent scoring and pegging throughout the evening there were many highlights, too many to mention and with the darting community coming together to provide support for each other and facilitate matches it was a great social event, it was also great to witness the interaction of all various grade players in attendance.
Thanks goes out to the BWDA Committee for their assistance throughout proceedings, especially Maureen Porter, Tim Anscombe & Paul McFarlane and also thanks to Maureen Irwin & Maree Ellis for their assistance with raffles, club setup and food presentation.
The Grand Final was head-to-head best of 3 games which got underway just after 10pm.
The Final was played between pairings David Day – MAAC & Lewis Scrimgeour – Wanneroo versus Keith Rowley – MAAC & Noah Legg – Joondalup with eventually David & Lewis running out winners 2-0 and being awarded the prestigious Bluewater Darts Association Doubles Champions 2026.
All Grand Finalists receiving magnificent prize’s for their efforts during the final and tournament matches.
Congratulations to all registered players who participated on the night and finally a special mention to one of Bluewater Darts Sponsors – Olympic Darts (Peter & Anna-Lina) for being in attendance allowing the players to chat and purchase darting accessories etc during the evenings proceedings…
